Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew as a child in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. She spent the majority of her childhood listening to classical music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes along with classic classical music. Ana loves Tangos. She also loves operas as well as any dramatic performance. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she started more intense training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca at Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. While a young student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move to the United States in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in southern California. The singer currently sings classic Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. In addition to being a local performer and instructor the passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of projects. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher at the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially among the younger generation to keep this tradition in the present.
