Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born on 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She was on QI, as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly than the stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comedian. Bea started appearing as part of the cast on Irish or British television programs in 2009, started her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. She was already regularly appearing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. After her victory in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was booked for a variety of panel shows. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's an extremely popular contestant on the sister show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. In 2012, she was the second woman ever to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea is her name in honour of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh is a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was March 16th 1984. Bea's father Brian took his life at age three. He was a horse vet. Bea wasn't told the specifics of his passing away until she turned 13. The stage name Bea was a tribute for her father. She wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea's mom Helen, who is also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey, was the one responsible for the care of her daughter and Sinead. Their family was fascinated by racing and horses. Bea started out her career as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that the race industry was not for her.
